WordCamp is an informal local conference that focuses on WordPress. The first WordCamp I attended was 10 years ago at WordCamp Boston in 2009! That was the first time I learned about WordPress and discovered the enthusiastic open source community that is behind it. For the last several years I am proud to be one of the WordCamp Boston organizers!
Anyone can attend and learn something new
WordPress users, developers, designers, and other enthusiasts all feel welcome at WordCamp. There are lectures, workshops, and short lightening talks covering a large range of subjects. There is a Happiness Bar staffed with experienced WordPress volunteers to answer any questions. WordCamp is a great place to learn new WordPress skills quickly!
WordCamp is a bargain
WordCamp is intentionally inexpensive so that people from all walks of life can attend. It is a two-day event and lunch, snacks, and coffee are included. There is an after party event where you can meet other attendees, the organizers, and speakers.
